What is the true cost of cosmetic products? Are cruelty-free products actually cruelty-free? Sometimes the same products are sold in cruelty-free zones even though they are tested elsewhere for other markets. Some are classed as medication and can be used as cosmetics. Thus you are tied in with that testing if you are not wise to it. So you may as well pawn your own pet dog or bunny instead of paying cash. How much will all this change with Brexit and will the legislation still be as tight as a sieve? Then there are of course the legacy ingredients tested years ago but still used in current products. So some cruelty-free products might involve historic abuse of some sort.

So the street market trader is beckoning the punters to his canvas cosmetics emporium…..
